When Life Gives You Snow, Make Ice Cream (5 Ingredients) by Christine Jones
One of our family's favorite things to do in a snowy winter is to make snow ice cream. It's a fun annual tradition that only takes four ingredients and some fresh, clean snow.
You'll need:
- snow
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- salt
Here's how to make it:
- In a bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla, sugar and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
- Place the bowl in the freezer while you bundle up and collect 5 to 6 cups of clean snow.
- Immediately begin to stir the snow into the mixture until an ice cream-like consistency is achieved. Add sprinkles or chocolate chips and enjoy!
